As Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational
Development, Mr. Hicks is responsible for developing and delivering strategies
that strengthen the organizations performance and culture. His efforts
improve the ability of the 4,000 MDS Pharma Services employees around the
world to meet their business and talent growth objectives.
Mr. Hicks joined MDS in 1990 as a Regional Manager in MDS'
Canadian diagnostic laboratory services business. Since that
time, he has held a variety of senior management positions
within MDS, including Director of Human Resources for Ontario
Laboratory Services and Vice President of Human Resources for
MDS Harris (now part of MDS Pharma Services).
He received his honors degree in Business Administration from the
Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Canada, and subsequently
served on the school's faculty. In addition, he studied advanced
human resource management at the University of Toronto and Queens
University in Kingston, Canada and has the CHRP designation from
the Human Resources Professional Association of Canada.
