MDS Pharma Services continues to add industry expertise to its pharmacology consulting group
(September 7, 2001; Montreal, Quebec) — MDS Pharma Services is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Daniel Menard, a specialist in functional pharmacology, to its prestigious pharmacology consulting group. Dr. Menard has been named associate director of pharmacology, technical support, and will be based in Montreal. He will focus on east coast technical support in pharmacology services.
Dr. Menard’s background includes extensive experience in life sciences, including seven years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He possesses both clinical and fundamental experience in central nervous system, cardiovascular and inflammatory disorders, in vivo and in vitro pharmacology, toxicology, as well as other therapeutic areas. His experience also includes assay development, automation, and bioinformatics. Before joining MDS Pharma Services, Dr. Menard served as assistant director and head of in vivo pharmacology for AstraZeneca Canada.
Dr. Menard was a post-doctoral fellow in neuropharmacology at the Douglas Hospital Research Center, McGill University. He also received training in the department of pharmacology and toxicology at Queen’s University. Mr. Menard holds a Ph.D. in neuropharmacology and an MSc in pharmacology from the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sherbrooke. He obtained a BSc in neuropsychology from the Universite de Sherbrooke.
