• An article in the online edition of NGP (Next Generation Pharma) discussed our leadership in ongoing malaria trials in Asia and Africa.

• Also in NGP (Next Generation Pharma), MDS Pharma Services President Dave Spaight was quoted in an executive roundtable on the CRO industry. Issues discussed included patient recruitment, the geographical expansion of clinical trials, the use of Internet technology to communicate with sponsors, and the role of biomarkers in streamlining clinical development.

• Agence de Press Médicale published information on a brief work stoppage in Lyon, France. MDS Pharma Services provided the following statement: "MDS Pharma Services is pleased that the recent action at our Lyon site has been settled amicably, and that the brevity of the action resulted in no negative impact on client service. We believe the settlement is in the best interests of all parties involved and that it conforms with our policy of fair and respectful treatment of employees."

• A March 19, 2007 television program about clinical research in Argentina featured Silvia Zieher, director of Clinical Operations and Latin America head of Resourcing Solutions in Global Clinical Development. Silvia discussed the importance of clinical research, what CROs do and the role of investigators. The segment aired on Salud Mental (Mental Health), a 30-minute program aimed at health professionals, about health professionals.
